Earthshine on the Moon

The crescent of the Moon was beautiful in tonight’s clear sky. I took several pictures and decided to also get a shot of the “unilluminated” parts of the Moon. They actually are illuminated by the Sun’s light reflected off of the Earth.

Here’s a more traditional view of tonight’s Moon:

Update: 2:23am – I only have 8 more Messier Objects to go before I’ll have captured all 110 objects. If tomorrow night is clear, I should be able to bag those 8!
